Classes of Membership

The two classes of memberships are listed below;
  1. Corporate Class
  2. Associate Member
Let’s discuss the classes mentioned above in detail:

Corporate Class

A class for Membership of Chamber of Commerce and Industry for a body corporate or a international corporation with its branch office or head office in Pakistan or an entity whose annual turnover of Rs. Fifty million or more.

Associate Member

A class of Membership of LCCI for a body corporate or a international entity or a sales tax registered business concern having an annual turnover up to Rs. Fifty million or below.

Eligibility for Membership:

Below is the eligibility criteria for getting Membership in LCCI;
The person making an application could be a Sole Proprietorship, Partnership Firm, Association of Persons or a Company. The applicant must hold a National Tax Number in the name of Business. Sales Tax Registration is mandatory in case of further Registration for Web.
The Business of the proposed applicant accomplishes different business possibility or area of jurisdiction of District Lahore as stated in the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association of LCCI and under the license granted by the Federal Government of Pakistan.
  • LCCI Registration of Membership application shall be recommended and shall be backed by existing registered active members of LCCI.
  • There is no record of a criminal verdict of Proposed LCCI Registered Member.
  • Registration of Membership of LCCI shall be rejected or disqualified, on the basis of rules and regulations defined in MOA and AOA, when the member violates any stated provision of the Law.
  • LCCI Registration for Membership renewable on an annual basis subject to the satisfaction of below-listed circumstances,
  • subscription fee is to be paid within the stipulated time stated in Memorandum Of Association and Articles Of Association, not later than 31st March every year;
  • Proof of filing income tax and sales tax return, if applicable, for the last preceding year
After meeting the eligibility criteria as discussed above, the eligible applicants can apply for Membership of LCCI by following the below-mentioned steps;

Membership Procedure

  • Fill the prescribed Membership Form
  • Attach all required documents
  • Cash payment (requisite Fee) or Pay order or shall be presented at the cash counter of the Registration Office of LCCI.
  • The Membership Form should be proposed and seconded by the two existing members.
The documents required for Membership vary consistent with nature of Business of applicant, each of the business type along with required documents is discussed below:

1- Proprietorship

  • For taking Registration LCCI membership, a proposed member will furnish a written application on Business letterhead to the Secretary-General LCCI.
  • Fill out the LCCI Registration membership form which must be duly confirmed by two valid LCCI existing active registered members whose representative is different from each other and the proposed applicant.
  • The Original bank maintenance certificate in the name of the Proprietorship business.
  • Photocopy of STRN certificate (if applicable).
  • Photocopy of Identity Card Proposed member
  • Photocopy of NTN certificate of proprietorship Business.
  • Photocopy of Electricity Bill of Business Premises

2- Partnership Firm

  • Proposed member will file a written application on Firm’s letterhead to the Secretary General Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) for issuance of LCCI membership
  • Fill out the LCCI membership form which must be duly approved by two valid LCCI existing members whose representative is different from each other and the proposed applicant business.
  • Form C
  • Photocopy of Identity Card Proposed members.
  • Photocopy of NTN certificate of Partnership Firm.
  • Original certificate of bank maintenance in the name of Firm
  • Photocopy of Electricity Bill of Business Premises
  • Photocopy of STRN certificate (if applicable).
  • Partnership Deed

3- Private Limited or Limited Company

  • Proposed member will file a written application on Firm’s letterhead to the Secretary General Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) for issuance of LCCI membership
  • Fill out the LCCI membership form which must be duly approved by two valid LCCI existing members whose representative is different from each other and the proposed applicant business.
  • Form C
  • Photocopy of Identity Card Proposed members.
  • Photocopy of NTN certificate of Partnership Firm.
  • Original certificate of bank maintenance in the name of Firm
  • Photocopy of Electricity Bill of Business Premises
  • Photocopy of STRN certificate (if applicable).

Renewal of Membership

The Membership shall be renewed on an annual basis.

Cancellation of Membership

LCCI has the right to annul the Membership or disqualify the members on the basis as written under the Trade Organization's memorandum and articles of association if the member violates any provision of the Trade Organization Ordinance, 2007.
